If my dog bit a solicitor on my property, what should I be doing now? 1 Answers as of July 10, 2015

I'm in CT. A solicitor came on my property, claims she didn't see the no trespassing sign (she may have crossed over from our neighbors driveway). She saw the dog and proceeded to the door. I offered to call 911/ambulance, provided first aid, and she had a coworker pick her up. I have her my contact info (on request) but I don't have hers nor the company she works for. We called our insurance company. Just wondering what else we should be doing?

You have done all of the right things especially notifying your insurance company. Generally you are strictly liable for injuries caused by your dog unless you can prove the other person was teasing tormenting for trespassing with respect to your dog.
