If have an account with my grandma’s name also on it can it be frozen because of my unpaid bills? Posted on February 07, 2012

I work part time and receive partial unemployment because I’m in school. When they froze my account they seized the only 35 dollars I had and I can’t access my unemployment or anything until this is lifted. They said it could take a few weeks. Can they do that? I owe them 600 bucks still and they got mad I didn’t make enough money to pay them. So my grandma added my name to her account so I had some money for gas. Can they touch her account? If so I need to get my name off of it.
