I received a subpeona, can I be available by phone or demand compensation? 1 Answers as of February 08, 2012
I received an attorney subpoena two days before the court date. I work for the State of Colorado and am scheduled to be in Denver 60 miles away from the courts. Is it reasonable to be available by phone or demand compensation as I would have to take personal time? This is a civil case of child visitation and custody.Free Case Evaluation by a Local Lawyer!

With the judge's permission and consent of the person who subpoenaed you, you can appear by telephone. You need to communicate with the attorney who issued the subpoena to work out the arrangements.
