How will my husbands unemployment affect his adjustment for permanent visa in the U.S? 1 Answers as of April 04, 2011

I filed for my husband and I am employed full-time, but he is not. I put him under my name as unemployed. We are going to file for permanent visa for him in May, and I am scared that they will see that he hasnt been working and will not approve him for a permanent visa. I am in Miami Florida. Please let me know what I should do.

You're sponsoring your husband's application for lawful permanent residency and (presumably) have also filed an affidavit to support him if such should become necessary. Whether or not he now has a job should not be a relevant consideration as to whether USCIS decides to give him greencard status.
