I am going to take a guess that you are referring to a post nuptial agreement, one made after marriage. It would depend on the extent of the assets and whether the parties readily agree.

It is a "Post-Nup", not a post-nub. Post-Nuptial Agreements are difficult, demanding documents that are difficult to enforce, since the parties, after they are married, have confidential relationships with each other. You will need to interview individual experienced Family Law Attorneys to determine how much each would charge for your Post-Nup, based on the protection that you seek and the amount of time needed by the attorney to negotiate, prepare, and complete the Post-Nup. Each party should be represented by his/her own independent counsel for a Post-Nup.

Every attorney will have different fees for this type of service. Also, it depends on how complex your case will be to prepare. If there are a lot of assets, income, etc., and there is negotiations. The only way to get an idea will be for you to call and get quotes that are specific to your case.

The cost for a postnuptial agreement varies depending on whatever the lawyer charges. There is no standard rate. Call around and price shop. Keep in mind that sometimes you get what you pay for.

If you are referring to the cost of preparing a post nuptial agreement, the cost largely depends on the amount of assets and debts involved in the agreement. You should meet with a skilled family law attorney to explore your legal options.
