Look at the top any any papers you have, there is a cause number. Call the clerk of the courts where you were divorced, give them that number and ask if the Court ever signed a final decree of divorce (I am assuming you do not have a document called Decree of Divorce in your possession already, if you do, see if it is signed by the Judge). You and your wife do not need to sign anything in Texas, it is the Judge's signature that counts, if the judge signed the decree, you are divorce.
