How do I get rid of a misdemeanor petty theft? 2 Answers as of June 16, 2017

Offense date was 7/8/2013. I was convicted for misdemeanor petty theft. I did community service and have 3 years unsupervised probation. Probation ends in June of this year but I would like to have the misdemeanor removed so I can get a job. I had 2 jobs that were going to hire me but the background failed. I have not gotten in any trouble since then.

You need to have successfully completed the entire term of probation, have nothing criminal pending, and not be on probation for any other offense(s). Contact a lawyer to file the petition for expungement on your behalf.
