I was arrested and sentenced 5 years in federal prison 7 years ago. They took away my passport . I live in NY. Who do I contact to get it back? It's for work travel and I am given the okay.

You should apply for a new passport. If there are no restrictions on getting a new passport it will only take a few weeks. You go to the local government office with a Social Security card and a drivers license with proof of your address and a few passport photos. CVS and Sears take passport photos as well as many other locations.
