My mother died about a year ago. She did not have a will. My brothers and I are wondering if we can challenge our dad for my mother belongings and part of her estate?

It depends on the type of property and what the value was. Also you have to look at whether they were jointly owned or she owned them personally. You should discuss this with an estate planning lawyer
