How do I divorce my spouse when he's MIA? Posted on May 26, 2011

I have paid an attorney to draw up divorce papers for my divorce in PA. My husband left on January 12 and was arrested in Colorado and was in jail until today so I knew where he was. He was served the initial divorce papers on March 10. I was told that the final papers could be served to him on June 10 but that won’t happen now because he will disappear. Is there any way to get a divorce from this low life without putting out more money? The attorney says in two years I would have to pay him $600 more to make the divorce happen; notice of trying to find him, some form DD, etc. I want nothing from the guy and I know he won’t come back to PA to see his kids because there’s a warrant out for him.
