How can I help my dad from being deported after he was caught trafficking 14 pounds of weed last year and has been in jail since? 2 Answers as of June 23, 2014

Around September and now, he may be deported. He is a citizen who was born in Jamaica and came to US when he was 13 and is now being held at a detention center. I am the oldest of his three kids with my mom. I am 21. What letter can I write to mail to him, his judge or lawyer to help his case? Thanks.

This is very difficult. The best thing you can do is raise money to hire a good defense and immigration lawyer.

A letter is not going to help him as much as a favorable outcome in the criminal case. Why would he be facing deportation if he is a citizen?
