How can I get a retail theft misdemeanor removed off my record? 3 Answers as of June 08, 2011

I was recently declined employment because of 1 count of retail theft misdemeanor that came up in my background check. On 05-05-2006 in Volusia County, Florida. I was caught shoplifting & I was never arrested. I appeared in court pleaded NOLO CONTENDRE & was forced to take a class. How can I get this removed?

If you have never been convicted of any crime, and never sealed or expunged before then you can clean up your record. If the charges were dropped after you completed a program then you can expunge. If you got probation then you can seal.
