How can I find out if he has, in fact, filed the case? 4 Answers as of May 05, 2014

I am not sure I trust my attorney. He says he has filed my case but I am not seeing any evidence of this.

You can go to the Superior Court website in the county in which the action would be filed. It varies by county, but in most you can look up filed cases by the names of the parties even if you don't know the case number.

Go to your county courthouse and look up cases filed in your name. If there aren't any, then he hasn't filed it. If federal court case, go to the federal courthouse and check with the clerk there.
