How can I expedite getting my installment agreement signed? 1 Answers as of November 22, 2011
I was involved in an accident a few months back. My insurance had lapsed at the time. The DMV in my state requires you to have an installment agreement signed, and notarized by the other party, or their insurance company or your license will be suspended. I tried to get this taken care of well in advance, but the insurance company waited until my license was suspended to set up an installment agreement. I have paid my first $200 installment, but the company has yet to sign the paper. I can't get my license back until the DMV has it. What can I do?Free Case Evaluation by a Local Lawyer!

Since there is no legal requirement that they enter into an installment agreement, there is no way to force them to sign one. My only suggestion is to bug them each day until they sign it.
