NO, I have never heard of it effecting a US passport for a US citizen in any way. Maybe if you were found guilty of fraud or something like that, but merely the fact that you filed bankruptcy shouldn't affect it in any way and I have lots of clients that travel outside the US and no one has ever called and told me they were having a problem. And believe me they would!
