Does a lawyer need to be involved in the sale of a business to make it legally binding? Posted on July 08, 2011

I owned a contracting business. Due to changes in the law I sold my portion to another individual with the same Service Disabled status. A third party negotiated a buyout agreement and I signed a document signing over responsibility of the company to this individual. It has been six month and I have had almost zero communication and no compensation. Do I have the right to go after these individuals to seek compensation?
