Do I need to go back to work if I am still in a lot of pain from a workers comp slip and fall injury? Posted on February 02, 2011

I was injured on the job in the parking lot of my work due to improper care of the parking lot. I was originally placed to be out of work for 6 weeks and then I had an mri done showing I have a herniated disc in my neck and went back to the doctor to hear the results from the mri and he put on my work restrictions sedentary, no lifting, no bending, no kneeling, occasional standing and return in 4 weeks for reeval. Now I am receiving calls from the secretary of my work and emails and texts saying that I have been cleared since the last appt with the workers comp doctor and have to be in tomorrow. Do I need to go back to work if I am still having a lot of pain?
