Do I have to pay the bill sent by the EMT service to my son? 1 Answers as of July 04, 2013

My son passed away in 2010. The EMT came and got him. The bill was in his name as the primary payer. Now they want me to pay the bill. My name is not on the bill. Do I have to pay this? They got nasty when I called them and said they will take what they can. But he doesn’t have any thing.

No you do not have to pay the bill. They can make a claim against his estate. I am not completely sure if he was a minor, if so.
