Do I have to choose other and write she lives outside the US or can I just leave that part without an answer? 4 Answers as of September 05, 2014

I want to become a US citizen. I'm married. I want to apply for my wife. She lives in Brazil. In the form they asked me if my wife is not a US citizen to complete the information: current spouse's immigration status and ask me to choose one (permanent residence or other).

Answer all questions on the USCIS form (whatever form that is) fully and candidly. The USCIS may reject your application if there is any unanswered question. Any omission or misrepresentation may also work against you.
