Do I have a possible discrimination in the workplace case? Posted on January 18, 2011

A Minnesota casino has a policy that says in part "no one with any felonies or more than 15K" in debt can be hired as a blackjack dealer due to the casino's gaming license restrictions. I completed blackjack dealer class, was hired, then after more than 8 weeks of being associated with the company and actually working as a dealer for almost 6 weeks, I was released due to an item appearing on my credit report that I did not know was there. I appealed the decision and was denied. There are literally hundreds of people working in the same position (or higher) I was hired for, I find it hard to believe that not one of them has more than 15K in past due debt. If I am correct, wouldn't this be discrimination?
