Do I have a case if I was arrested without being read my rights? Posted on May 27, 2011

Last night, my fiancé was arrested for failure to pay court costs and fines on a traffic ticket she received. She had gotten a call from the arresting officer stating that she needed to go to the sheriff’s office to "discuss an open case”. When she arrived she was placed under arrest and detained. While being placed under arrest, she was never read her rights. Also, she had received a letter from the county clerks office stating that she had to pay the fines by June 1st 2011, or they would attach her pay. Nothing was ever mentioned about being arrested. She was arrested May 26th. Would any of this constitute any grounds for a lawsuit?
