Can you help us with our Bank Debit Card Dispute? Posted on July 09, 2011

A debit card holder authorizes a designee to use the card number to pay for a printing expense for an event. The designee calls it in to the printer to pay for the invoice. A day later another committee member on the same event tells the printer to put an additional cost on the card without letting the card holder or designee know. When it is disputed the bank at first reverses the charge. Then it puts it back saying there was proof that it was ordered from "our" side and they have signatures which is impossible because the card holder was not there in person at any time. Is this legal?
