Can you ever get a DUI removed? 1 Answers as of November 01, 2010

When I was 15, I was convicted of a DUI. That was 9 years ago, but I believe it is hurting my ability to get a job. Is there a way to get it off my record? I am such a different person now, I do not think it should keep haunting me.

Under current Minnesota law, a statutory expungement is not possible if there was a conviction. A Statutory expungement would result is destruction of all records, administrative and judicial. Although a judicial expungement is possible, such an expungement seals only judicial records and given the political climate with regard to DWI offenses would still be extremely unlikely.
