Can someone have access to the deportation list? 4 Answers as of January 06, 2011

My friend was told by a friend of his that he saw the deportation list and his name was on it. Can anyone have access to the list or is this person making this up? Dont people usually receive a deportation letter before immigration actually comes looking for you?

An alien who is the subject of an order of removal by either a U.S. Immigration Judge, the Board of Immigration Appeals, or the Attorney General's office will send a notice of final order to the alien, and will send notice to Immigration and Customs Enforcement of the fact that the alien has no further appeals and a final order of removal. Then ICE will send a notice to appear to the alien to report for actual detention and removal from the USA (called a "bag and baggage order").

That will usually come 30 days prior to the report date. The list of deportation orders kept by ICE, is accessible to registered persons affected, and attorneys. If you wish access to that list, and you have the opportunity to appeal a decision against you, feel free to contact me for a consultation in person or by phone. Best to you.
