Can someone co-sponsor if they are going through foreclosure? 2 Answers as of July 07, 2011

I lost my job not long ago and would like to ask someone to help co-sponsor my fiance from another country to the US; however, that person is going thru foreclose on an investment property. Will this be any issue?

It should not be an issue if that person is employed and is able to show that he has enough income for the number of people he supports. Please look at Form I-864P to see how much he should be earning for his size' family at www.uscis.gov.

Should not. As long as that person has enough income from last year's tax return and has sufficient income from current source.
