Can social security lawyers change without penalties? Posted on July 08, 2011

I have applied for social security and was denied the first time so was looking for attorneys online but did not contact any, but somehow one contacted me and became my lawyer. I reside in Wisconsin and this attorney is from another state of Texas, and they have not given social security all the doctor information requested during the second part of process. Now I have to go to court and they are still not collecting all the information and I am getting quite frustrated with them. I have told them about my frustrations, and they do not get paid unless they win lawyer. Am I able leave them due to not being happy without any penalties and they are not doing everything they possibly can, not requesting all information from doctors and submitting it to Social Security?
