Can a person come home the day of a plea hearing for involuntary manslaughter on probation after serving 8 months? 2 Answers as of June 13, 2011
The person has never been locked up. But just happen to get caught up in involuntary manslaughter. Has served 8 months so far and goes to court this week for a plea hearing. Is it a chance that person can get off on probation that day?

There is that possibility, but it will depend on what the plea arraignment with the DA is. Theoretically, he could get an active sentence, an intermediate/split sentence or probation.
