Can a parent legally force a child to take psychiatric medication? Posted on June 28, 2011I am 16 and have been taking psychiatric medication for a couple years and I made a decision to stop taking my medication. My mother did not agree with me on this decision and started punishing me and making nonphysical threats. Is this illegal? Can my parents force me to take psychiatric medication that I don't need since I am not a danger to myself or anybody else?
