Can our vehicle be seized because of a judgment against us from a landlord? Posted on May 12, 2011Me and my husband have a judgment against us from a prior landlord, and this week the sheriff showed up at my residence and seized my vehicle that we are still making payments on and said we have 25 days to pay debt or they will auction my vehicle. Can they do that in the state of NC? The vehicle is at a tow facility accruing storage charges.
