Can the orginal owner of my horse take the horse away? Posted on May 26, 2011

I bought a horse from a lady and the horse had a limp so I called the old owner whose name was on the registration paper to ask about the limp and they then claimed that they had no idea the horses were sold I have all the papers on the horse. They said they had the horses boarded since 2002 and had not seen them since then. They are now trying to get the 2 horses and mule back that the lady that was boarding them got rid of. He had told me on the phone that she called and told them they had to do something with them so they brought her all the animals papers and told her to do whatever she had to do with them. I'm the third owner of this horse that I bought. Can he come and take the horse away from me after this length of time. And as the now owner of this horse what rights do I have.
