Can my employer hold my paycheck past date issued on the check? 5 Answers as of June 27, 2013

We receive our paychecks on Friday of every week. If we donate $5 we are able to receive them early. I have been doing this and was informed they haven't been receiving the money and I am now blacklisted and can't receive my check until Monday because corporate postdates our checks and our true payday is Monday although the date issued on our checks is Friday. Can they hold my check past the date on the check?
