Can a landlord refuse to let me get my personal property? Posted on January 19, 2011

I was doing work for owner in exchange for rent . I had a oral agreement with the owner that I would restore his vehicles in exchange of rent. I guess he changed his mind and evicted me. He posted the unlawful detainer on a fence that wasn't even the property in question. There for we did not have a chance to file the response to the detainer. So we were evicted by the marshal. We were told we had 15 days to get our stuff out and we were only given 21 hours now he will not let us get our property. Some of my customers property has already disappeared and I am afraid that more stuff is being sold. What can I do?
