Can I sue our moving company? Posted on March 26, 2011

My wife and I recently moved from Los Angeles, CA back to NY, we found a moving company to move our stuff they said we had to pack it and they would take care of the rest. When they cam to move our stuff they told us we had to pay double what the quote was. We are on a fixed income and did so because we had no other options, our stuff was already loaded onto the truck. when they finally delivered the stuff to us in NY, we had many valuables that were missing, thousands of dollars in Jeweler, expense pieces of custom made glass that are for our coffee table, and Many other things as well. We also had many of our items damages and broken. Expensive pieces of crystal, and other fine china. we have moved across the country before and never had this happen. We made sure we used bubble wrap and other packing materials to protect our valuables. SO can I sue the moving company in California for losing and damaging our valuables?
