Can I sue if my company's information was used by a homeowner to obtain a USDA grant without permission? Posted on July 06, 2011

My company’s information was used by a homeowner to obtain a USDA grant without our permission and with documents that we did not generate, but that were represented as ours. Is this considered fraud? The grant was awarded to the homeowner with my company’s letterhead and company specific documents. The award of the grant directly impacts the amount of funds that are available for other applicants and will probably result in applications that our company legitimately submitted having a lack of funds to be appropriated. I would like to sue for damages.
