Can I sue if I have to have stitches because of a dog bite? 1 Answers as of September 02, 2017

I was attacked while working before Christmas 2016 delivering for a courier. Homeowner was there. Dogs were running loose. Arm ripped open to the bone. Also other bite no stitches. Dog tried to take him down. No work comp was ever paid and ultimately lost job. I hired an attorney who I fear doesn't know what he's doing! Can we fire him and hire an attorney who does or will we owe him money? He keeps saying he will file to take it to court but he hasn't yet! Insurance company is lowballing.
