Can I sue a drunk driver? 1 Answers as of July 20, 2010

My son was driving home one night after a baseball game and was hit by a drunk driver. He was in the ICU for a week, and is now confined to a wheel chair. I live in California and would like to know what my options are.

You can certainly sue the drunk driver personally as well as the owner of the vehicle. Since he was intoxicated, you would also have punitive damages available to you.
