Me and my brother are being accused of breaking in to a car and still property. The person told the cops it was me and my brother and there is no proof we did it. Can I sue fore deification or slander? Also it has because me to start smoking again, and has destroyed my nerves. I can not sleep and I am having many panic attacks scene it happed can I sue for emotional distress also its caused the same problems for my mom to.

I suppose you could sue for this if you could prove it was intentional and known to be false. The individual would have no resources to get damages from I would imagine.
