Can I seek legal counsel without hiring an attorney? 2 Answers as of November 02, 2010

I am divorcing my husband but I do not have the money to hire an attorney. We will probably have an uncontested divorce - is an attorney really necessary? What are some cheaper options I have for seeking legal counsel without hiring an attorney for my divorce?

You can represent yourself and get some help at the court house filing out papers from the Facilitators. You can also hire an attorney to simply do paperwork and not fully represent you. This would keep the price down and make sure things are done right.

Yes, but you might need to pay a consultation fee.
