Can I pursue any action against someone who harmed me as a child? Posted on June 24, 2011

Hi, I am wondering if it is possible for me to pursue action against someone who harmed me as a child. When I was seven I was made to eat pieces of dead rodent at gunpoint by an older boy. The police only wagged their finger at him because of his well off family and his father being the fish and game warden. Meanwhile, I am unable still to interact with people on a normal level and feel as though I've been distrustful and failed in life because of this. It might sound funny to someone else but I have suffered and felt afraid my entire life. Can I pursue any action against this person who is now very successful?
