I'm a resident which I will be filing for citizenship (n400). I will be petitioning my mom but in the meantime I will do bankruptcy. Will this effect me in anyway?

No. If (when) you are a USC and have a job that can support your mother so that she does not become a public charge to the US, you will be just fine. Good luck!
