Can I kick my husband out of our home? 2 Answers as of November 09, 2011

My husband and I have been fighting almost this whole year. He's only worked one month out of the year and I have not received help to pay for the bills or house. Additionally, he does not help with the house chores or the children. I want him out but he tells me for me to leave. I'm in Texas, what can I do to get him out?

Getting a spouse out of the house is hard to do. You can change the locks, but if he presses the issue, the cops will order you to let him in since it is his house too. You can leave, but that is time consuming and expensive too. Your only other option is to file for a divorce ask for temporary orders and then ask the Judge to order him out of the house.
