Can I go on vacation with my child if I have child custody? 3 Answers as of September 16, 2011

I am from another country where all my relatives lives. I had a baby with an American and would love to go on vacation with my child. However, the father does not want me to and will not sign for a passport. He says he is scared that I may never come back and I believe he's only being vindictive to me. Is there a way to convince him and the courts that this is only a vacation for me to have my child meet family and vise-versa? I would never steal the child for any selfish reasons, but would love for my relatives to know him. Please help!

You may be able to persuade your child's father, or you may have to go to Court to get permission. I can help you with this. Give me a call, make an appointment to come see me, and let's get moving on this for you. No charge for the telephone call and no charge for the first office visit.

You can always seek court intervention. You can't make him sign for a passport otherwise.
