Can I get a visa to take care of my US citizen child? 2 Answers as of May 25, 2011

My minor son (he is us citizen) now is in the US. I would like to go in Ohio for guardian purposes of my son; I am a Filipino citizen, currently I am here in Philippines, what visa qualifies for me as his mother? Thanks

I am not aware of any such visa that would enable a foreigner such as yourself to come to the U.S. for the purpose of being a guardian for your U.S. citizen child.

US citizen has right to live in US. but US citizen's foreign parents don't have automatic right to be in US. You need to wait for your son to turn 18 to sponsor you. Before that, you have to take your son with you in Philippines if you want to take care of him.
