Can I get record expungement for grand theft auto in Illinois so that I can get my license back? 1 Answers as of February 24, 2011

I need information on getting a grand theft auto conviction expunged and a license revocation removed. License was revoked as a result of that charge back in 2001. All court orders were completed, including probation many years ago. No serious charges since.

You cannot get the grand theft auto expunged from your record, as it is a felony conviction, regardless of when it occurred. However, you are eligible to have your driver's license reinstated, and would suggest you contact the Secretary of State's office for a hearing to lift the revocation. I would suggest that you just see the informal hearing officer at a facility near you for that office's requirements.
