Can I get the no contact order lifted before his court date? 2 Answers as of November 05, 2014

My fiancé got arrested for domestic violence against me. No weapons were pulled. He just pushed me. There is now a no contact order in place. I just found out during all of this that I am pregnant by him. His court date is in a week. Is it in my power to drop all the charges?

No, the judge has the power. You can request that the judge lift the no contact order, but it will solely be up to him. I would plan on showing up at his next court date and addressing the issue with the judge.

No, it is a criminal case and the prosecutor controls. If there is a history of domestic violence leave him even though you are pregnant. It will not get better.
