Can I get a faster status adjustment if I petition through a US citizen? 4 Answers as of January 26, 2011

Is it possible to get a faster status adjustment process and get a family member to file as a US citizen? I want within 1 month so I can see my wife and children here within a month.

Unfortunately only certain relationships allow you to petition for permanent residency and even the spouse of a U.S. citizen would not process in less than 7-12 months if currently overseas. I would be happy to talk with you about possible nonimmigrant visas to bring them here while they are waiting and/or assist with their permanent residency applications.

Yes, if the person who sponsors you is a close family relative. (However, nothing is likely to be finalized within the period of one month.)
