Can I get a divorce if I can't find my husband? 2 Answers as of April 11, 2012

State of Florida, county of lee, hired an "attorney" to assist with my divorce case, he regular mailed the papers to her. All phones disconnected, her family has not heard from her, she is not employed to track down irs tax filing information. Already paid an attorney $500.00 to regular mail paperwork. No marital assets, no children. Desperately need help to close this chapter.

You can get a divorce, but no adjudication of property rights, support, alimony etc. He can be served by publishing in the newspaper. If you are not happy with your attorney, call him/her and talk to them. If you are still not happy, call another attorney!

Yes. You need to advertise and do a search. Then get a default and final judgment. It is not hard. Will cost more than $500 though.
