Can I get an MIP dropped? 3 Answers as of December 07, 2011
This is in Prairie Village, KS. I'm 19 and the MIP was for an unopened sixer that I claimed was mine. Like I said, the notice to appear in court says the incident time was 0037HRS on Nov. 30th, but this was last night after midnight so it would actually be 0037HRS on Dec. 1st. Minor errors in the charging document are usually not grounds for dismissal. You should consult with an attorney to see if the error is profound enough to mess with. The prosecutor can amend the document to correct minor errors.

Probably not. Take it to trial. Hopefully they won't amend the charge prior to the close of their case in chief.

It's unlikely you will get a charge like an MIP dropped for that. Depending upon your prior criminal record you might be eligible for a Diversion if this is your first offense. I would recommend contacting a criminal defense attorney as soon as you can.
