Can I file for bankruptcy if I quit my job? 3 Answers as of October 29, 2010

I quit my job two years ago and have been unemployed since then, although I have been actively job searching. I am considering filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy but I do not know if the fact that I willingly quit my previous job will prevent me from doing so.

The answer is whether you are acting in good faith. Remember that the bankruptcy Court looks at fraud as any bad faith filing. Consult with an attorney to be sure.
