Can I be put on probation for talking to my coworkers about a coworker's deposit? 1 Answers as of September 02, 2015

I work at a credit union. On payday a coworker called and asked me to move some money around for her. Doing so I was able to see her deposit. Seeing how much she was making I talked to other coworkers. Because of this my boss told me I have to sign a 90 day probation agreement. Can she do that?

Yes. MS is an employment at will State. That means that the employer sets the terms of employment. Working at a Credit Union, you have a fiduciary duty to not discuss the transactions of others. Another persons deposit is not your business.
